Domestic Arrival & Departure

The domestic airlines structure within Australia is well developed and airlines regularly fly to all major cities in Australia. It is possible to fly direct routes to and from the major cities, whilst for more remote areas, you would invariably have to fly to the capital city of that state before reaching your destination. The two major domestic carriers are Qantas Airways and Virgin Blue, which fly to and from most major cities. The small airlines that fly to remote areas are usually affiliated with the major airlines, so bookings are centralised.
